Important information: EYE2020 postponed

The European Parliament decided to postpone the event following the actions taken by the French authorities in relation to events and gatherings with more than 1.000 people and in view of the exceptional measures taken in relation with the COVID-19 outbreak. Parliament's authorities took the decision in line with the precautionary measures in the context of the COVID19 outbreak. Everyone's safety is our main priority.

The final decision on the date of the event will be taken in due course by Parliament and will be communicated to you as soon it is known and information about the impact on your participation at the EYE will follow.

The EYE goes online

EYE online
As the European Youth Event (EYE2020) is postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the European Parliament presents a special online edition of the event, with different activities organised in digital formats.

The EYE Online offers young people from all over the European Union and beyond a unique opportunity to virtually meet and inspire each other, share their stories and exchange their views with experts, decision-makers, activists and influencers.

Check out the "EYE Online" section for more information!

European Youth Ideas

European Youth Ideas
The European Youth Ideas website is an online platform where young people can outline their own ideas on the issues that Europe is facing today and their ideas for the Europe of tomorrow.

All young people are also invited to share their ideas about the European Parliament's initiatives for youth such as the European Youth Event, the European Youth Seminars, the European School Ambassador Programme and the Charlemagne Youth Prize.

Once an idea gets published on the website, other users can like and comment on it, which might result in a lively exchange that will help adapt, shape, and define ideas further.

Most questions include links to background information provided by the European Parliamentary Research Service.

Youth ideas are used to enrich the programme of the biennial European Youth Event (EYE), and are also an inspiration and input for other youth initiatives of the European Parliament. Moreover, the most concrete ideas will be forwarded to the Members of the European Parliament and other policy-makers, inviting them to join the debate right here.
